As an agent, working with buyers can be very time consuming and frustrating for various reasons. Instead of complaining, I'm writing this blog to comment on the characteristics of buyers I really appreciate. I love working with buyers, especially when.....
1) They are realistic about what they can afford. The buyer has talked with a local lender, understands closing costs and what type of loan works for their particular situation. Bonus: the lender takes calls on the weekend!
2) When looking at homes, the buyer can see beyond the clutter. Not every home is HGTV perfect! When a buyer can look beyond clutter, older carpet, outdated paint colors and some dirt--s/he may discover the house has a great floor plan, the potential for inexpensive updating, the ideal location.
3) A buyer understands I have other clients. Agents are usually jugglnig many clients at different stages of a sale. We are attending inspections, meeting contractors, visiting potential clients, taking CE classes, etc. We usually are not able to drop everything and show a house with 30 minutes notice.
I could add about ten more bullet points...perhaps will save those for another blog!
